What Lagos-Akure Service Means

Chief Operating Officer, Mrs Aderonke Emmanuel-James, stated that the Lagos-Akure service reflects Overland Airways’ commitment to safe, reliable, and convenient air travel. She noted that the route complements existing Abuja-Akure-Abuja services. In addition, the new flights strengthen the airline’s broader network across the Southwestern zone of Nigeria.

The airline’s Lagos-Akure service is designed to cater to early morning travel needs. Therefore, passengers can plan business trips or leisure journeys efficiently. Meanwhile, Overland Airways is expanding its route network with restored flights from Lagos and Abuja to destinations including Ibadan, Warri, Jalingo, and Minna.

Mrs Emmanuel-James emphasised that Overland Airways prioritises customer convenience and safety. The airline recently became the first Nigerian carrier to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification. In addition, it maintains 11 years of IOSA certification and membership of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). These accolades reinforce adherence to global safety and quality standards.

Passengers can book Lagos-Akure flights through Overland Airways’ website, mobile app, global ticket offices, and authorised agents. Therefore, the resumption ensures consistent and dependable services for both frequent and first-time travellers. Meanwhile, this move strengthens regional connectivity and supports economic and social linkages within southwestern Nigeria.
