FMTA cooperatives records 530 new members

FEDERAL Ministry of Transportation, Aviation and Allied organizations Multipurpose Cooperatives Society at the Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos has recorded over  530 new members  who joined the association  between September 2014 and till date.

The President of the Society, Prince Joel Adeyemi who disclosed this at the cooperatives 47th Annual General Meeting AGM, held in Lagos said percentage increase in deductions rose by more than hundred percent in the sector.

According to Prince Adeyemi, the cooperatives society remained free of any kind of indebtedness adding that membership  increased by fifty-one percent over previous years ago.

While urging members to expect increase in dividends lodged in the banks for payment, Adeyemi cooperatives appealed to those not yet benefited from the cooperatives’ trainings to exercise patience as the trainings was on going in batches.

He noted that the cooperatives witnessed a lot of tremendous improvements in the last one year especially in the construction of buildings adding that it acquired 100 plots of land at the sky garden estate Owode Egba to compliment the earlier plots acquired by the previous executive.
