FAAN resolves power outage @MMIA, apologizes to passengers

THE Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has asked travelling passengers and the general public not to fret as it has handled a minor power outage at the public concourse of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA).

The power outage which took place  this evening did not last as the airport authority engineers swung into action to take care of the problem.

FAAN had earlier announced that it was on top of any situation and assured the travelling public that it will provide safety, security and comfort during the Sallah celebration.

Confirming the outage, General Manager Corporate Communication, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu assured that the outage has been taken care of and that it did not last as FAAN engineers were on ground to correct the outage.

She however stated that the authority was apologetic of any inconvenience that the short outage might have caused the passengers.

A statement by the authority later read,”The Management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria wishes to inform the general public of a minor power interruption at the public concourse of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.”

“Our team of engineers swung in to action and normalcy has been restored at affected areas.”
“While assuring airport users of safety and security at our airports, FAAN wishes to apologize to passengers, airlines and the general public for the inconvenience caused by this interruption.”
