Stakeholders rally to address aviation survivability amidst challenges in a macro-economic environment. This takes center stage at the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents’ 28th Conference.

Industry players will gather on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, to chart a way forward for aviation. Originally scheduled for July 25, 2024, at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja, the conference was moved a day.

The theme, “Aviation Survivability Amidst a Challenging Macroeconomic Environment,” addresses the pressing issues amplified by Nigeria’s current economic state.

This year’s theme reflects aviation survivability amidst challenges the in Nigerian industry. These challenges include poor access to forex, weakening currency, high fuel and maintenance costs, poor infrastructure, regulatory constraints, and manpower demands. These issues require urgent attention from industry stakeholders.

The conference will attract over 200 aviation professionals, including representatives from agencies, airlines, support services, and travel operators. Organizations will have the chance to highlight their activities and engage with key industry players.

LAAC, Nigeria’s aviation media umbrella body, ensures effective media coverage and practice in the aviation industry. The LAAC Annual Seminar has historically driven significant policy, management, and operational changes within Nigeria’s aviation sector through public discussions.

Aviation and allied business organizations frequently leverage sponsorship opportunities at this event to promote their products and services. “This year’s conference is peculiar because it will focus on the industry’s survival and sustenance, a major subject of discussion in a time like this,” says Mr. Chinedu Eze, Chairman, LAAC Conference Planning Committee.
