Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, asserted at a Lagos meeting that the future of Nigeria Air rests solely with the President. Responding, he emphasized, “The final decision lies with Mr. President.”

Notably, Ethiopian Airlines initially hesitated but eventually collaborated on Nigeria Air, dispelling prior reluctance during shareholding negotiations. The contentious issue had sparked heated debates under the tenure of Keyamo’s predecessor, Mr. Hadi Sirika.
