Command Comptroller, CIS BA Dangana pcc, fsne who acquainted officers and men of the Command on the order of proceedings for the event, also gave a highlight of the series of programmes lined up for the week.
The Road Walk and Sensitisation Campaign Against Smuggling of Migrants is aimed at acquainting unsuspecting members of the public on the perils associated with exploring any form of migration without possessing valid travel documents and the requisite visa endorsement that clearly states terms and conditions.
The Command team in an effort to reach a wider audience, took the Road Walk/ Sensitisation Campaign from Ikoyi Passport Control Office and moved across Ikoyi – Obalende and environs, with distribution of flyers highlighting how every members of the public can access Immigration facilities on the Service Windows.
The Walk, as the occasion demanded was modelled like a carnival procession, with music played by Disc Jockey and a Live Band to lift the spirit of participants and members of the public within ear and eye shot danced and merry through the streets of Ikoyi – Obalende and environs.

The Command CIS also had media rounds with Metro FM 97.6 and Radio Nigeria 103.5 respectively which served the dual purpose of enlightening members of the public on the ills of Smuggling of Migrants (SOM) and intimating a wider audience on the 60th Anniversary Celebration marking the establishment of the
Service.
