NAMA has signed an MOU with the Ekiti State Government to provide air traffic services at the newly established Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti. This agreement, signed at NAMA’s Lagos headquarters, strengthens their collaboration to ensure the smooth operation of the new airport.

In his remarks, NAMA’s Managing Director, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, said the MOU represents a mutual commitment to excellence. “This partnership signifies joint responsibility and expectations for air traffic control services,” he stated. Engr. Farouk emphasized that this collaboration sets the foundation for seamless and efficient operations at the Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport.

Represented by NAMA’s Director of Legal Services, Mrs. Isemiuhonmon Rita Egbadon, Engr. Farouk highlighted the MOU as a symbol of action, cooperation, and a shared vision. He stressed the importance of transparency and communication between both parties to ensure the project’s success. “This is more than just a contract. It is a pledge to uphold high standards and foster open communication,” he added.

Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, expressed optimism during her speech. Representing the state governor, she described the event as a crucial moment for the state’s aviation development. “This partnership will enhance the safety, efficiency, and reliability of airspace and air traffic management in Ekiti,” Adubiaro noted. She also emphasized that the Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport will boost tourism and economic growth.

Adubiaro described the MOU as a testament to the shared commitment of both parties to advance Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure. “The goal is to ensure the highest standards of safety and effective air traffic management systems,” she stated. She assured NAMA of the state’s dedication to the MOU’s successful implementation, guided by mutual respect and transparency.
