COME November 9, 2018, entrepreneurs, players and stakeholders in the aviation industry will come together to harness and synergize opportunities that promote growth and development in the sub-sector, as Mr and Ms Aviation Nigeria (MAMAN) holds its maiden Avi-Day.
The one day event with theme Human Capacity Building, Key to Aviation Growth will aid to create the right value and platforms to attract people seeking to invest in the sector.
The Avi-Day is scheduled to hold this year at the Radisson Blu, G.R.A, Ikeja, according to Project Manager, Ms. Ololade A. Adenekan who reeled out some of the activities for the event to include an Exhibition called The Nigerian Aviation Business Exhibition (NABE), Gala Night, Miss Aviation Nigeria (A display of Beauty and Brains by 10 contestants)and the Aviator’s Cut (A display of Aviation-Themed Uniforms made by Nigerian Designers).
Adenekan said the event has received the endorsement of the Ministry of Transportation through the Office of the Honourable Minister of Aviation for State.
She said,”The objective of this event is to systematically address the challenges in the industry vis-à-vis discussing pertinent topics relevant to the growth of the industry, create a functional community, aid small businesses and empower women and youths, among others. “
“We also aim to form a strong team of aviation professionals in different fields who will be mentors to young aviators for the enhancement of the industry’s pool of professionals.”
She continued, “The exhibition creates an avenue for industry players to showcase and/ or demonstrate their products and services to a target audience with a view to further project their brand and increase sales with a target to further bring the aviation industry closer to non-aviators. “
“Through this forum, those interested in aviation will have access to first-hand information on available opportunities and how to get into the industry and most importantly, people seeking to invest.”
