AS part of efforts to highlight the importance of the role of the Cabin Crew in the entire gamut of flight operations, Cabin Crew manager and Publisher of online aviation news, Joy Ogbebo aka Mama J’s Aviation blog in conjunction with CheckinNigeria will host the first Ever Cabin Crew Fair in Nigeria.
The event which takes place on March 29 2017 at the Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Ikeja Lagos. The theme is “Let your dreams take flight” will illuminate the strategic role of cabin crew at the workplace, recognize and reward Cabin Crew Icons who have contributed immensely to the growth of the profession.
The fair will also look at the urgent need to close the gap with regards to information dissemination and mentoring of aspiring Cabin Crew.
Convener of the fair, Joy Ogbebo reacting to why the fair is to be organized said,”A research conducted by mamajsaviationblog and checkinNigeria has revealed and identified a gap as regard information on the impactful role of Cabin Crew. Generally, there seems to be a lot of ignorance as regards the strategic role of Cabin Crew. Unfortunately many aspiring Cabin Crew are misled into attending training schools that are not approved by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority. A platform as this would help close this gap.”
She continued,”This Fair will be a platform for Aspiring Cabin Crew, Cabin Crew Professionals, Representatives from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and Aviation Training Schools, to meet, network and share Knowledge. This is a great opportunity, most especially for the ‘Aspiring” Cabin Crew to learn more about the Cabin Crew Profession, Aviation training schools, certified by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Selection Process, and the details of remuneration packages and benefits for Cabin Crew.”
“Airlines, reputable Aviation training Schools Certified by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority across the country will be at the Fair to showcase their unique training programs of study at the event. The Directorate of the Licensing Department of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority’s representation at the fair will be very strategic as this will be a platform to educate participants of the role of Licensing in their choice of career.”
According to Ogbebo, the fair will also highlight how to get that Cabin Crew Job, how and where to Train as a Cabin Crew, how to Increase ones chances of getting Cabin Job in Nigeria and abroad, how to apply and get shortlisted for that Cabin Crew Job as well as how to attend Cabin Crew Job and be successful.
She stated that the benefits were incredible including: opportunities for prospects to get their resumes enlisted into Mama J recruitment data base, networking with airline Cabin Crew and a host of others.
