FOLLOWING the Accident Investigation Bureau’s ( AIB) release of the Preliminary report of the helicopter crash involving the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, operators of the aircraft, Caverton Helicopters has assured of its provision of safe air travel.
Caverton Managing Director and Accountable Manager, Captain Josiah Choms made this known in a statement issued in the wake of the release of the preliminary report where the airline thanked the public and its clients for their support.
The Caverton boss went on to state that the airline will continue to adhere to safety procedures as enshrined in the organisation’s tenets.

“We will continue to adhere strictly to safety procedures as required by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Act and all other relevant local and international regulations across all our operations,” he assured.
AIB had yesterday released the preliminary report of Saturday, February 2, 2019’s crash involving an AgustaWestland 139 with Nigerian Registration Marks 5N-CML and serial number: 31389, owned and operated by Caverton Helicopters .
The body also said that accident investigation was not complete and that only the initial findings have been established and that they would still need to carry out further probe to provide the cause of the crash as well as make safety recommendations that would go a long way to safeguard the sector.
