FROM September 30, Ibom Air will be increasing flights from the Murtala Muhammed Airport to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport to three times daily due to popular demand.

The airline which prides itself on three major principles, experience of schedule reliability, on-time departures and excellent service will start flying from Lagos to Abuja daily at 8.00am, 12 noon and 4.00pm while it will do return flights from Abuja to Lagos same day at 10am, 2.00pm and 6.05pm daily.

The fast rising state-owned carrier is expanding flights to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to meet demands of the travelling public who have in their number called for more flights on the airlines social media handles.

Chief Operating Officer Ibom Air, Mr. George Uriesi during the airline’s inaugural flight into Enugu State had explained that Ibom Air would expand, albeit gradually first by entrenching itself on a route and then stabilizing before moving to another.

The increase of flights in Abuja seems to show the airline has established a foothold on the market and currently needs to satisfy more air travelers on that route.

The airline which started operations June 7, 2019 with Abuja currently has five (5) Bombardier CRJ aircraft at it’s disposal and has hinted at plans to commence regional and international operations soon.
