The Federal government will investigate Naebi Dynamics Concept for allegedly collecting fees for NAMA without proper oversight, risking aviation functions.

This investigation stems from concerns that Naebi Dynamics may be interfering with NAMA’s responsibilities, including refusing takeoff clearance for helicopters.

Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, unaware of this arrangement, has called for a petition on the matter by Monday.

Lawrence Fubara Anga, a lawyer, revealed that Naebi Dynamics and the Ministry of Aviation entered a commercial agreement in 2022. Similarly, he raised concerns about the company collecting fees unlawfully and taking charge as if it were a government entity.

He said, “Naebi Dynamics takes US$300 for every take off and every landing. It is not NAMA’s responsibility to collect landing fees. Whoever owns the Aerodrome is paid landing charges.”

Anga emphasized, “Who is Naebi Dynamics? Does the NCAA regulate them? Are they the ANSP? Most importantly and dangerously, they are going to official facilities and are actually taking charge as if they are Government officials, risking the Nigeria oil industry.”

Managing Director of NAMA, Engineer Tayib Odunowo, forwarded the issue to the NCAA for further determination, revealing that he was unaware.

Apart from revenue collection, the firm is to capture unidentifiable helicopters as a security addition. However, NAMA has 95% completion of Low-Level Multilateration in the Niger-Delta region to address such issues.
