Responding to a complaint from a Passenger with Reduced Mobility (PRM), FAAN has closed the KFC at MMIA.

Effective March 28, 2024, the closure aligns with Lagos State laws safeguarding the rights of individuals with disabilities.

According to Mrs. Obiageli Orah, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs, this action is in compliance with anti-discrimination legislation.

Upon intervention by FAAN’s MD/CE, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, a team was dispatched to investigate the incident.

Following their findings, FAAN ordered the shutdown of the KFC facility where the discrimination allegedly occurred.

FAAN has mandated that KFC management issue a written apology to the affected PRM and post a non-discrimination policy visibly.

The airport manager extended sincere apologies to the affected individual and reaffirmed their commitment to passenger rights protection.
