She said the airport was going through transformation with on going works at the terminal two getting to an advance level adding that it will be commissioned in no distance time.

She revealed that when put into use, the new terminal will be linked with the old one to ensure seamless passengers processing as more traffic will be recorded and urged passengers to bear with FAAN.

The airport manager remarked that it was not an easy task managing the over forty years MMIA in terms of replacement of facilities.

On plans to ensure safety this, Mrs Shin-Aba expressed delight that no major security or safety issues were recorded last year, saying that the management of MMIA will consolidate on that to work harder to achieve better result by complying with safety and security.

“There was no major issues with safety last year and we will build on it by complying with all safety issues in 2019”
