Credible information reaching NFD is that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has officially written to the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) to provide photocopies of documented cash advance from 2013 to date.
According to investigation carried out, it would seem that there are some damning figures with regards to cash advance documented during that period.
Already, the anti-graft agency has taken away thousands of photocopies from the agency and are set to investigate these advances.
Our source who revealed this information said that there are cash advances ranging from N20 million, to N30 million some of which according to him, are raised to cut grass around the airport.
He also filled our reporter that a Human Resource personnel also requested and got N16million cash advance to bind documents in the agency and according to staff in the stores department, there is no record of execution of most of the cash advances.
Information already in public space, have it that the EFCC has started seizure of assets of some top officials of NAMA, with reported freezing of the accounts of some of the agency’s managers, after huge sums of money and assets were allegedly traced to them.
Some of the assets seized are petrol stations, and other investments in Lagos. Three petrol stations belonging to one of the NAMA officials were seized on Friday in Lagos by the EFCC.
