[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ollowing yesterday’s tour of facilities at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Mr Festus Keyamo has set up a committee aimed at ramping up the revenue profile of the agency.
The Minister who personally pointed out various revenue potentials at some areas around the MMA set up the committee to be chaired by the Permanent Secretary and has given them four (4) weeks to come up with a comprehensive report.
A statement made available by Abdulahi Yakubu -Funtua, Director Public Affairs & Consumer Protection in the course of receiving briefing from the FAAN Management the Minister had observed that there are so many potential opportunities for ramping up the revenue profile of the Agency.
The statement read, “To this end, the Hon. Minister has directed that these sources of revenue be explored to the fullest. Accordingly the HMA has set up a committee under the chairmanship of the Permanent Secretary to look at :A. Advertisements at the Airports, B. Ticketing System at the FAAN Facilities, C. Waivers on payment of FAAN Services.
“The Committee has been given Four Weeks to come up with a comprehensive report and proffer solution.”
