Aero contractors has launched and deployed no fewer than 31 new devices, the Pro-Ranger to expedite passengers’ facilitation, improve security and check wrong boarding among others across its network with the feature of boarding a 140 -seater Boeing 737-400 in 15 minutes, reducing the 30 minute facilitation time.
This is just as the airline says it is tweaking its schedule to meet passengers demands and comfort so as to serve them better.
Aero, Nigeria’s oldest airline which revealed these through Head Ground Operations, Mr. Peter Omota and Head, Commercial department, Chika, Ubendu, stated that with the newly introduced device passengers can be checked-in and boarding pass printed while avoiding the queues that come with multiple flights.
Omata also demonstrating the device said, ‘the device aids facilitation, expedites the boarding procedures while enhancing online performance.
The device helps in capturing passengers’ data from the boarding gate. Once it detects the passenger at the gate, it gives us appropriate profiling and produces a comprehensive manifest.
“Passengers can check-in remotely from any part of the airports, especially those without baggage, making facilitation seamless for the travelling public”, he said.
Meanwhile, the airline has introduced a schedule aimed at addressing passengers’ needs.Head, Commercial, Mrs. Ubendu while speaking on the airline’s schedule said Aero has not increased frequency in any route but initiated a rescheduling that will allow passengers travel to their destination at the right time.
“The rescheduling is now more in tune with passengers’ requirements, we made sure that whatever we have now is what the passengers will be comfortable with. For instance, we have rescheduled Lagos-Asaba from 4 p.m to 9. a.m, we have also rescheduled the Yola route”, she said
