Global Airways adds a new Airbus A320-232 to enhance operational capacity and replace its older, less efficient fleet.

The newly acquired Airbus A320-232, formerly operated by Etihad Airways, will undergo South African Civil Aviation Authority certification. The aircraft will be added to Global Airways’ license after certification, supporting their growing operations. It will be wet-leased by Afrijet and fly under the Fly Gabon banner, boosting regional connectivity.

Global Airways Chief Operating Officer, Sandy Baynes, highlights that the company’s fleet renewal strategy is designed to maintain financial flexibility and avoid debt. The Airbus A320-232 acquisition strengthens their competitive fleet solutions for partners.
