COVID-19 : Ethiopian Airlines evacuates 385 Americans, 200 Canadians from Nigeria

THE United States of America and Canada have evacuated a cumulative 585 persons from Nigeria with separate Ethiopian Airline flights today from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

The Americans, numbering 385 were evacuated on board a Boeing 777-300 series which took off at about 4.40pm enroute Washington DC

Earlier, 200 Canadians consisting 137 airlifted from Lagos and 63 from Abuja were evacuated by an Ethiopian airline Boeing 767, flight ET8201 with Registration number ET-ALO.

The flight had 11 crew.

After the normal airport formalities, the evacuees boarded the ET flight to Abuja to pick other Canadians.

The aircraft left Abuja to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia en route Toronto, Canada.
