News Alert: Bristow Helicopter crash in Lagos

There has been a helicopter crash in a lagoon at Oworonshoki area of Lagos State that have claimed the lives of six of the twelve passengers including crew on board.
The helicopter belonging to Bristow Helicopters with registration number 5N-5BDG-760540 enroute one of the nation’s oil rig was scheduled to land in Lagos at 15.35pm
Details are still sketchy at the point but four bodies have been recovered while two are still been searched for, the other six survivors have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Already the authorities have cordoned off the area as search and rescue is ongoing. National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) as well as the fire service and other emergency rescue agencies are on site to lend whatever service and support they can,
Also on site are the Accident and Investigation Bureau (AIB).
Eyewitnesses claimed they thought it was an aircraft because of the large noise it made as it crashed into the lagoon.
